Flare is Australia’s first all in one HR and benefits platform. It provides employers with easy-to-use tools to manage HR efficiently and strategically (from on-boarding to contracts and compliance), and their employees with access to a range of benefits (from novated car leases to retail discounts) plus the support of a benefit concierge to help manage their financial wellness.
Flare’s HR services are provided to both employers and employees by Flare HR Pty Ltd (ABN 46 607 120 892). Any financial services are provided by Flare Financial Services Pty Ltd, Corporate Authorised Representative No.1241829 of MyPlanner Australia Pty Ltd AFSL No. 345905 (Flare FS).
Your employer will provide you with access to your Flare account and is responsible for keeping your HR records (e.g. policies and procedures, payslips etc.) up to date in the platform. If your employer has chosen Flare to manage its benefits, your employer will also be responsible for facilitating any financial wellbeing programmes in your workplace associated with Flare providing those benefits.
If an employer chooses to manage its employee benefits (e.g. superannuation, novated car leases etc.) through Flare, we get paid by the benefits providers. The revenue paid to us by these providers means we can offer our services free of charge… and keep the lights on!
Flare FS does not charge you a fee for the service we provide in assisting you in finding the right product. We receive a commission from our participating product providers which enables us to deliver the service to you for free.

Flare Financial Services Pty Ltd will only provide general advice to assist you in choosing an appropriate product – this general advice does not take into account your personal objectives, financial situation or needs. No specific product recommendation will be made unless expressly requested by you and until we enter into a personal advice arrangement with you.
Your employer’s default super fund will be chosen by your employer. You may be able to choose a different super fund to receive your employer’s super contributions.
The Flare platform includes a number of super funds from which you may be able to choose. In providing comparisons of superfunds on the platform, Flare does not compare all super funds in the market. We have a partnership agreement with selected product providers and we include only their super products on our platform. We have chosen to partner with these product providers on the basis of ratings provided by independent parties
Flare has not considered your personal circumstances in selecting the super funds on our platform, and does not represent that any of the super funds available on our platform are suitable for you. You should consider your personal circumstances and the Product Disclosure Document for each of the products, and you may also want to seek advice from a licensed financial adviser, such as Flare Financial Services Pty Ltd.
8 - Has Flare Financial Services Pty Ltd considered my personal circumstances when providing information about superannuation and other financial products?
The information and advice provided by Flare is general in nature only. It does not take your specific objectives, needs or financial circumstances into consideration. You should look at your own personal situation and requirements before making any financial decisions concerning products on our platform.
We think you will quickly see the advantages that the Flare platform has to offer, both in terms of time saved with automating your HR data and access to benefits.
You should consult with your employer to find out whether your employer requires you to use Flare. If you do use Flare, certain information is required (e.g. your contact details, tax file number etc.), which is made clear when you first register. While further information is not mandatory, we strongly believe the more information you provide us with, the better the range of products and services we can offer you. If you do not provide some or all of your information to Flare HR we may not be able to provide some or all of our services to you and you may not be able to access our platform or related services.
We want to make sure we are providing you with access to the best range of products and services. In order to personalise the experience, we may at times disclose information about you to enable our related companies and other trusted business partners to offer you products and services that we believe may interest you, and to other companies who assist us to market our products and services.
We will only use or disclose sensitive information about you for the purpose of direct marketing if you have consented to the use or disclosure of the information for that purpose.

Your employer will only have access to information about you that is required to fulfil your employer’s HR function, for example your contact details, tax file number, remuneration, leave entitlements, performance reviews etc. Any information that you provide with regards to applying for benefits (for example your health information or financial information) will not be shared with your employer without your consent.
In most instances, if you leave your employer, you will continue to have access to certain information in your Flare account including your employment contract, payslips, information on your benefits, training records and performance management.
