In April 2023, Flare conducted its National Employee Benefits Index – a representative study of the attitudes on benefits and remuneration across 1,500 working Australians. However, the number of people that aren't excited to work has gone up compared to six months ago. 36% of workers are not excited to go to work anymore and also are thinking of leaving their current employer.

The benefits that matter to the nation

The most utilised benefits for finance workers are flexible schedule options, free coffee and snacks, virtual working and social gatherings outside work.

Autonomy is a valued benefit with virtual working and flexible scheduling rounding out the top three benefits. Number one went to free coffee and snacks which almost half of finance and insurance workers take advantage of.
